Blue Blue Japan product data

Launched in 1996 as the in-house brand for the Tokyo store Okura, Blue Blue Japan is the heritage-focused expression of its parent company, Seilin & Co. The brand is built entirely around Japan’s history with indigo, using traditional dyeing techniques like *aizome* to create garments with profound, nuanced shades of blue. Its collections are a tribute to Japanese artisanship, frequently featuring techniques like *sashiko* stitching and visible mending inspired by *boro* textiles. This approach means that no two garments are exactly alike, and each piece is designed to evolve, fade, and develop a personal patina with wear, telling the story of its owner over time.
