Founded on its namesake island in 1992, Calypso St. Barth channels a breezy, sophisticated island spirit into its collections of womenswear, accessories, and home goods. Originally conceived by founder Christiane Celle, the brand became a go-to for its unique, travel-inspired pieces, blending French chic with global artisanal craft. Core offerings include silk kaftans, embroidered tunics, and soft linen separates, all reflecting a carefree yet elegant aesthetic. The brand is defined by its use of vibrant color, intricate handwork, and a focus on natural fabrics. After a period of closure, Calypso St. Barth was relaunched in 2021 and is currently undergoing a creative refresh under new leadership, which includes President Jason McNary and Creative Director Sophia Duff. The revival honors the brand's heritage while introducing modern silhouettes and a direct-to-consumer focus, supplemented by partnerships with select luxury retailers. Known for its devoted following, the brand appeals to a worldly, adventurous woman and was famously worn by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston in the early 2000s, cementing its role as a pioneer in the luxury resort-wear market.
