Founded in 2020 by designer Emi Funayama, a graduate of Esmod Japan with experience at several Tokyo-based collection brands, Fetico has quickly emerged as a distinctive voice in Japanese fashion. The brand's core concept, “The Figure: Feminine,” is realized through body-conscious designs that celebrate the female form from a woman's perspective. Drawing inspiration from classic couture and vintage styles, Funayama reinterprets these aesthetics with a modern and sensual edge, incorporating lingerie-inspired elements like delicate straps, sheer fabrics, and corset-style structures. Fetico’s collections are meticulously produced in collaboration with textile artisans across Japan, emphasizing high-quality craftsmanship intended to create pieces that can be cherished over time like vintage garments. The brand’s signature items include sculptural knitwear, tailored jackets, and form-fitting dresses that balance structure with sensuality. Since its debut, Fetico has garnered significant acclaim, winning the Tokyo Fashion Award in 2022 and the JFW Next Brand Award in 2023. Its growing international presence includes showrooms in Paris, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles, positioning it as a rising force in global luxury fashion.
