Gentry Portofino product data

Gentry Portofino is an Italian quiet luxury house founded in Genoa in 1974 by boutique owner Camillo Bertelli. Bertelli identified a gap in the market for knitwear that moved beyond the muted Anglo-Saxon palette, introducing a vision for rich color and sophisticated design. The brand quickly evolved from a knitwear specialist into a complete total-look collection, establishing a reputation for its use of noble materials like cashmere, silk, and merino wool. A key technical advancement came in 1978 with the adoption of fully-fashioned production, allowing for more precise and considered silhouettes that define its high-quality construction.
