Founded in 2008 by twin sisters Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato, this New York-based brand began with a mission to create accessories that tell a story. Lizzie, the creative force, designs collections inspired by travel, art, and architecture, while Kathryn manages the business operations. The brand is celebrated for its distinctive, maximalist statement jewelry that combines unexpected materials—from semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls to recycled glass beads and vintage components sourced globally. These elements are thoughtfully composed into artful, limited-run pieces. Beyond jewelry, the line has expanded to include handbags, belts, and a curated selection of home decor called “Fortune Finds.” Produced primarily in New York City and with select international artisans, the brand emphasizes intentional, small-batch, and made-to-order production to avoid waste. This approach reinforces the idea of its products as cherished “art objects.” Lizzie Fortunato has garnered praise from publications like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, solidifying its role in the fashion landscape for women who value originality and narrative-rich design.
