Founded in Fidenza, Italy, in the late 1980s by Pietro Negra and Cristina Rubini, Pinko answers the call for fashion that is independent, strong, and sexy. The brand built its identity on an eclectic and contemporary style, creating original pieces grounded in Italian handcrafted quality that appeal to a global audience of modern women. Its collections span from versatile daywear to glamorous evening looks, but Pinko is perhaps most famous for its 'Love Bag,' a signature crossbody bag featuring a distinctive buckle with two lovebirds, which has become a commercial success and a core brand identifier. The family-run company, which includes the founders' daughters Cecilia and Caterina in its communication and creative departments, has a dynamic history of collaborations with international designers and stylists like Mark Fast and Alessandra Facchinetti. Recently, the brand has sharpened its focus on sustainability, appointing Patrick McDowell as its sustainability creative director and launching the 'Reimagine' upcycling project. After a period of financial difficulty and restructuring, the brand returned to profitability in the first quarter of 2025 and has focused on strategic recalibration, including adjusting its pricing to enhance value while maintaining its aspirational positioning.
