Porter-Yoshida & Co. product data

Founded in 1935 by Kichizo Yoshida, Porter-Yoshida & Co. is a Japanese brand built on a philosophy of “Heart and Soul in every stitch.” This principle, born from the founder’s experience during the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake where he learned a bag must first be a tool, has guided the company for decades. All products are manufactured exclusively in Japan, ensuring meticulous quality control and preserving artisanal skills. The brand is most famous for its Tanker series, introduced in 1983 and inspired by the U.S. Air Force MA-1 flight jacket. This line features a unique three-layer bonded fabric of nylon twill, polyester cotton, and nylon taffeta, known for its lightweight feel, durability, and signature bright orange lining.
