    "description": "I have always loved shells, but the Abalone is the queen of them all. It is a riot of iridescence – of ocean greens and blues, with a hint of dawn pinks. The calcium canvas of the brilliant Gastropoda makes a most compelling jewel. Every tidal swirl and lapping colour change is unique. We have designed large, bold pieces to allow appreciation of the shell patterns. The feeling of this collection is primal, powerful, tribal, and bold, as if gathered from a beach walk and strung to create almost shamanic talismans of the sea. These shells are bought as byproducts of the fishing industry. The California laws ensure that only shells over a certain size are harvested, and at certain times of the year.
